Assistant Camp Manager

About Us
We are a family-run business with a stable, tight-knit team of 10 employees who have been with us for several years. We operate a boutique environment where the guest experience is paramount. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our “work family” for the long haul.
The Role
This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who is as organized as they are social. You will bridge the gap between our guests, our staff, and our operations. This is a long-term position with a path for growth within the company for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Arrival, Departure & Finance: Lead the check-in and check-out process. This includes property orientations and managing final billing and payments, ensuring all accounts are settled accurately before departure.
- Daily Logistics & Activity Planning: Oversee the daily organization of the camp. This includes liaising with the surf team and yoga staff to coordinate schedules, timings, and guest attendance.
- Kitchen Liaison: Manage daily meal numbers and specific dietary requirements in direct communication with the kitchen staff.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain boutique-level attention to detail across all guest touchpoints and facilities.
- Team Synergy: Coexist and collaborate effectively with our long-standing team to maintain our positive internal culture.
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Shift Structure: This role operates on a split-shift basis, typically covering morning logistics and returning for check ins and other admins tasks.
- Flexibility: Working times are flexible and will vary depending on the daily guest arrival and departure schedule. You must be comfortable with a non-traditional hospitality schedule.
- Time Off: You will have one full day off per week, as well as one additional evening off per week.
Requirements
- Background: Prior experience in surf camps or boutique hospitality is essential.
- Languages: Full professional fluency in English. French or German are a plus .
- Soft Skills: You must be outgoing, approachable, and a “people person” who genuinely enjoys hosting.
- Organization & Trust: Superior organizational skills are required. You must be comfortable handling financial transactions and managing schedules.
- Commitment: We are seeking a permanent team member for the long run. Note: Holidays are to be taken during the low season (July–August).
- Location: We are open to foreigners, though preference will be given to local candidates who fit the profile.
